Get ready for four days of incredible music, workshops, and community spirit at the Raise the Roof festival! This multi-day event celebrates Newfoundland and Labrador’s rich folk traditions and local talent, with something for all ages and skill levels.

📅 Full Festival Line-Up:
🪗 August 21 – Opening Music Circle: Led by Aldonna O’Keefe, hosted by the BSG Folk Arts Council. Admission by donation. All ages welcome.
🎼 August 22 – “Learn & Play” workshops: Morning: Fiddle (Donovan Conran), Afternoon: Mandolin (Donovan Conran) – *Participants are asked to bring their own instruments.                             Evening concert with Roblos Rock ($25 workshop / $20 concert)
🎶 August 23 – Workshops continue: Banjo (David Stacey, morning), Fiddle (Jess Perevensoff, afternoon) *Participants are asked to bring their own instruments. + “Family Ties Musical Vibes” evening show – Featuring local family groups such as the Whites, Roses, Nolans, and Mercers. ($10)
🎤 August 24 – Festival Showcase: Performances by workshop participants and the Creative Circle: David Stacey with Morgan Hunt, Don Dunphy with Esther Oosterbann, Tammy Dutcher with Kevin Kendall, and Shelley Kawaja wtih Gloria Hunt ($10)
