Join community members, families, and visitors in Stephenville for a day of culture, learning, storytelling, recreation, and celebration as we recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Activities & Lunch (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

Enjoy a variety of cultural and recreational activities, including:

Traditional Opening with Dr. Elder Odelle Pike
Community Drumming
Medicine Walk with Chief Byron Alexander
Storytelling with Elders
Book Reading with Judy Falle
Archery
Northern Games Sports
Assorted Recreational Games and Activities

Lunch will be provided, featuring L’nu Tacos and Wings.

Youth Dance (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

Youth are invited to return in the evening for a fun and welcoming dance.

This community event is organized in partnership with local Indigenous organizations and community partners, including No’kmaq Village (Flat Bay Band Inc.), Indian Head First Nation, the Mi’kmaw Cultural Foundation, and others.

Everyone is welcome!

Come celebrate Indigenous cultures, traditions, stories, and community while enjoying a day of connection, learning, and fun for all ages.
